We are living in dynamic times. Through thoughtful and collaborative design, we can shape our systems towards reciprocity, resilience and renewal.

Reciproca is an interdisciplinary design studio that works with organisations and communities on systemic change, civic innovation and transformative learning projects. We collaborate with our partners to design more just, adaptive and regenerative systems.

Reciproca’s approach is grounded in systemic and participatory design methods, which (1) identify the underlying dynamics and drivers of change in complex systems; (2) bring together experts, leaders and communities affected by change to develop new visions, strategies and programs; and (3) build new capabilities, organisations and cultures of learning and innovation to sustain these efforts in the long-term.

Focus areas

The climate crisis is a challenge of planetary proportions – but with it comes the opportunity to rethink and redesign current systems so that we can all thrive. We are working closely with climate collaborators and partners on projects that design and implement adaptation and resilience plans, explore futures and strategies that accelerate a fair and fast transition, and enable learning and innovation that validate sustainable economic models towards a regenerative future.

As the pace of global change accelerates and social cohesion is stretched, communities are finding ways to build connection, creativity and collaboration as enablers of resilience. We are working alongside community partners on projects that build resilience, agency and wellbeing through inclusive participation, capacity building, collaborative design process, and redistribution of power and resources for social equity and self-determination.

In an uncertain and fragile world, learning can unlock the limitless potential of individuals and communities to adapt, thrive, and navigate change with creativity and purpose. We collaborate with learning and education partners to design transformative experiences, programs and systems – supporting individuals and communities to build skills, connections and imagination needed to shape a more equitable and sustainable future.
